I just read Lorelle’s article Blogs That Stand Out, and it occured to me that blogs are like music.
The blogs that stands out for you is blogs that interest you, just like when you suddenly hear a great song - to your taste of music - on the radio.
Lorelle’s blog stand out to me, because almost everything she writes interests me, but for anyone who’s not really interested in WordPress and blogging tips and tricks, her blog it’s just another blog.
Then again there’s the blogs of your personal friends, they might not stand out in the big crowd, but they do to you. It’s like when your going to a concert because you know the people in the band. And just because of that they are the greatest band on earth.
And then I read blogs because the people who write them seems interesting, it’s like when buying a record of a band ‘no one’ has heard of before because you feel they are going somewhere. They might, or the don’t.
But to answer Lorelle’s question; the blogs that stand out to me, is the blogs that explains things to me in a way I can understand. - I read a lot of ‘tech blogs’ looking for answers, but few of them get bookmarked.
- And I really don’t think this blog stand out in any way. It’s just more of the same. A personal blog, one in the crowd.. and I actually like it this way.
